Philip Lim does 90s grunge. Nothing new, right? Right. What is new is the floral, plad and appliqué elements he worked into the collection. Suddenly these traditionally granny styles (as I like to call them) are completely fresh and oh-so-covetable. Although I'm very lukewarm on the shoes, the fact that he's bringing back dungarees totally makes up for it.
You know a collection is great when I start complaining about having to edit it down - every outfit had unique personality. This girl has confidence, attitude, guts, and great style.
It's so good I that I'm even advocating the fact that it showcases one of my pet peeves: florals for spring.
