Viva The Model Cover!

I love it when magazines do model covers! The May cover of UK Vogue was released today with a very beautiful looking Nyasha Matonhodze on the front. And on top of that, it seems to be a Style For Less issue... Most interesting coming from Vogue. I cant wait to see!

Focus On Proenza Schouler AW12

The first post I did on Proenza Schouler's AW12 collection was very brief. Now, looking back, it's become one of my favourite collections of the new season. Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez are known for their incredible craftsmanship, but this collection takes it to the next level. Check this ooooout!

This collection was all about defence. The show started off in neutral colours with a strong 'biker' vibe. Then came the interwoven fabric and leather, and finally the most beautiful brockade and embroidery. Here's a closer look at it all...

Emily Blunt Covers ELLE UK

It's my favourite time of the month: the day the new ELLE UK covers leak. Emily Blunt is looking lovely on the cover of the May beauty Issue, and even more beautiful on the collectors cover. Of course we know next month will be Kristen Stewart. I can't wait!

Pretty Patterns + Lovely Dresses = Kenzo AW12

My latest post fashion month fashion month discovery is Kenzo. A really fun, super French collection that showcased some of the new season's best trends. There are the hilights.

Animal sweaters is not just a Burberry thing. Micro as the trend and may be, it's one of my absolute favourites.

Designers have made some great dresses this season. You'll have to pick at least one of them... So which will it be?

Pattern, pattern, pattern. (And repeat!) This is your new style mantra by the way. Miuccia Prada started the revolution. Kenzo, and you, should be happy to join in.

No particular tend here, just an interesting take on texture. Love it, hate it, be indifferent, whatever.

More pattern on the left. And on the right you'll find a little zig zag: another fun micro trend pioneered by House of Holland this season.

Waisting Away: Acne AW12

It's very difficult to keep up with all the shows during fashion month. Usually I'm so busy looking at the big names and getting the posts out there that I forget (or don't have time) to look at the little guys. But let's not patronise. The point is: I've found some great new AW12 shows I didn't blog about that I'm very excited to share with you...

Feast your eyes on Acne: a study in the AW12 big belt trend. There are so many ways to wear it: here are the best ones.

LEFT: With a puffa jacket: thanks to Peter Pilotto, the puffa jacket is back. So give it the AW12 treatment by belting it... And add some ski pants for some sporty style.

MIDDLE: Business class: Okay, maybe this look is a little too sexy for the office. So lose the hat, add wide-legged pants and pair of platforms and you're good to go.

RIGHT: Pop that colour: In a see of black, black and more black, a pop of bold colour is very refreshing. This belt gives things more of a corset feel - what a statement.

Opt for the softer (colour) side of the season with yellow, a peak of metallic, and romantic prints. The matching pant and belt create a fun illusion.

So what will it be? Corset belt, or regular belt?

You could always just delay your choice. Remember, sometimes not making the statement can make an even bigger statement.
