For yesterday's bumper 20 page edition of UCT's Varsity Newspaper, I wrote an article on whether it's possible for students to be models. In my interview with Linda Bruchhausen of Boss Models, I discovered modeling is in fact a very viable career option for students.
I expected something along the lines of: Modeling is very demanding and time consuming. Only the most committed and hard-working students will be able to fit it into their schedules. Instead I got: as long as you're easy-going, you'll do just fine. The agency takes your study schedule into account and schedules jobs accordingly. It would make sense that a model career is designed to accomodate the lives of the youth. Many models are still in high school, others doing some sort of tertiary education.
That said, once you hit the big time, you go full time. Here are three top international faces who are reaping the benefits of a model life - and doing it very successfully.
