Sarah Burton Goes Bowie For Alexander McQueen Cruise 13

My latest obsession: the Alexander McQueen Cruise 2013 collection inspired by the 70s and David Bowe. It's Sarah Burton at her usual best. And this is the most wearable you're gonna get with McQueen.

You may drool now.

The LV Girl Wears The Pants: Louis Vuitton Cruise 13

If the cruise collections haven't convinced you that a great pair of trousers are to swipe (your card) for right now, then take a look at these. Or just take a look at them anyway.

Louis Vuitton is going very 70s chilled this season, the trouser being the star item of the collection. You can go super wide, super short, or superbly layered. As long as you wear your preferred trouser with confidence, you can't go wrong.

Ultimate Eye Candy: Peter Pilotto Cruise 13

London designers seem to have some sort of magical (yes, MAGICAL) print making gene. Think Mary Katrantzou, Jonathan Saunders, and of course Peter Pilotto. PP and Christopher de Vos have completely outdone themselves for cruise 13: the prints are more dazzling than ever, masterfully combined with different textured fabrics and embellishments to give the full effect.

It's clothes like these that make me grateful I have eyes. Look carefully - look at the detail - and look again. I've painfully edited the collection down to my twelve favourites. Consider this the eye therapy you never thought you needed.

Inside The Louis Vuitton Train

The big fashion houses are taking their time (and being quite stingy) with the releasing of their fall campaigns. Not that I mind - I love the thrill of cracking open that first August issue and seeing the new fashions.

Louis Vuitton has released three images from their AW12 campaign. As the rumour goes, they paid something like eight million dollars for that train, so they're going to utilise it in full! Again, I don't mind. On the contrary: I had a childhood obsession with steam trains, so this is a lovely dose of personal nostalgia.

Images from the Louis Vuitton facebook page.

As much as I love Vuitton, I'm a Prada boy at heart. The house has released their first two AW12 shots by Steven Meisel (who also shot Vuitton). Needless to say, I completely adore them. But I'm terribly biased.

The Most Wanted Of Them All: Céline Cruise 13

Pheobe Philo knows exactly what her customers want and she's not about to deviate from her winning vision. For Cruise 13, a lot of emphasis is being placed on a great pair of trousers. The message (also from Stella McCartney) is pretty clear: keep them wide, keep them loose, and look for a unique design that will bring out your quirky side.

Other heroes in this collection include what Philo has done with draping on blouses and that black and white dress, a little leopard, amazing coats, and of course the ultimate status symbol: a Céline bag.

Prepare to drool.
