Visions Of Print And Pattern

I'm a big fan of the SS12 print-on-print trend. If you feel the same, you'll be happy to know things are evolving quite nicely into the new season. AW12, although it is more about pattern than print, showcases glorious examples of both. Here I take a very close look at my favourites: they look great on clothes, but who's to say you can't take them as inspiration for wallpaper in your room (or on your computer)?

The sky is the limit.

Mary Katrantzou is the authority here. If you disagree, it's time to get off your high horse.

Prada goes ahead and embellishes the print, either by making it 3D with beads, or a bag.

When reminiscing about their time in the outback, the Rodarte girls seem to have a visual memory.

Don't argue that a Balenciaga sweater isn't the coolest item of the season - the sci-fi geeks will shoot you down.

If Ms Versace and Mr Kane say it's okay, you can go ahead and match all the way. (Versus made you do it.)

Jump into Dolce & Gabbana's floral dream. There's a little person waiting for you...

Paint the town any colour you like in Stella McCartney's evening wear.
