ABC cont.

My fashion alphabet continued. Here: P to Z.
See A to O HERE

is for PRADA, MUICCIA PRADA.

Click to buy this Christopher Kane Fall 2013
look at modaoperandi.com, fresh off the runway.
Every season at Prada and Miu Miu, designer Miuccia Prada mixes unlikely influences into collections which will without doubt play an integral role in defining the direction of the season. As British VOGUE fashion editor Francesca Burns tweeted after the Spring 2013 show: "Prada mood cycle: Not sure I like this/ this is weird/ oh god those shoes/ these colours are perfect/ this is genius/ dying with desire."

is for QUEUE NO MORE.

Another way the internet has revolutionized fashion is by making it possible to shop just about anything, anywhere. Not only is it no longer necessary to stand in line at a store, but you can be the first to buy a look straight off the runway. Who wouldn't want to preorder a Christopher Kane Fall 2013 dress at Moda Operandi?

Raf Simons photographed by David Sims for VOGUE,
December 2012. Click to see his entry in VOGUEPEDIA.

is for RAF SIMONS.

Take a good long look at the man who's changing way you dress. Having taken the position of creative director at Dior, Simons is working to change the image of the house. Rather, building on the image: who is the Dior girl? What does she look like? What is her sent? The answer gets clearer with every outfit he sends down the runway. is for SHOES.

There's nothing like a great shoe to get the fashion world buzzing.

Céline's Spring 2013 offering is interesting because:
a) They rock the surprising new flats trend.
b) They're lined with mink.
c) They're (probably) comfortable and (definitely) ultra stylish.

Pick your favourite look from the Fall 2013
Unique collection. That way, when it hits the
store next season, you'll be ready.

T is for TOPSHOP.

The most exciting thing about the British high street store opening in Cape Town? Shoppers now have access to TopShop Unique: the designer collection that goes down the London Fashion Week runways twice a year. I'd be happy to argue that these are the most fashionable items you can find in Cape Town right now.

Click to shop Rosie's collection.

U is for UNDERWEAR BY CELEBRITIES.

Everyone's aware of David Beckham's H&M collaboration, right? Mr. Beckham isn't the only one. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, actress/model, has collaborated with British brand Marks and Spencer to create a lingerie line. Have friends in the UK? Ask them to bring you some.

VOGUE, July 1932. Click to see more vintage VOGUE covers.
V is for VOGUE.

VOGUE is the fashion authority - the fashion bible. The American edition turns 121 this year, is edited by the most powerful woman in the industry, Anna Wintour, and contains editorials styled by the world's greatest living stylist, Grace Coddington.

In a world where fashion is becoming easier to access, and there are numerous magazines giving their edits of what happens on the runway, VOGUE offers the best fashion photography and creative direction in the industry.

This magazine is not only important to the fashion industry. It's an icon in the publishing industry as a whole.

W is for WHITE AND BLACK.

The coolest colours to wear now are black and white, white and black. The mega-trend kicked off on the Spring 2013 runways and continued into the Fall 2013 season. This is a look that's hard to mess up.

Xaio Wen photographed by Tim Walker for

X is for XAIO WEN AND THE RISE OF THE ASAIN MODEL.

As the Asian market booms, so does its influence in the editorial pages of magazines across the globe. Model Xiao Wen is at the forefront of this movement - her looks perfect to show off the current minimal and Eastern inspired runway looks.

Y is for YVES IS GONE.

Yves Saint Laurent is now called just Saint Laurent. Why? You'll have to ask the new creative director Hedi Slimane. Opinions on his first two ready-to-wear collections have been mixed. New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn certainly isn't a fan. Find out why HERE.

Z is for ZARA

Still the most on-trend store in SA, Zara offers a wide range of womenswear for every taste and every budget. They also receive new stock every two weeks, so you'll never get bored.
